I enjoyed your article Nausherwan. I remember Partners would always promise the Earth to win the work and then let the team deliver on it. Without caring that it was almost impossible to deliver! Not sure if that was the same in your firm or not.
Yeap... I've come across that situation in several contexts over the past years. It's crazy how some ppl are just keen to have the contract signed and care about the rest later...when all hell breaks loose!
Great strategies, Naush! You reminded me of how important this is in a work environment. What I also found helpful at managing expectations to thrive is setting up clear priorities. I’ve often found that by ranking tasks by importance, I’m able to manage my time better and avoid overcommitment. For example, when faced with multiple deadlines, I prioritize what impacts the team the most, which has really helped me stay focused and deliver quality work without feeling overwhelmed.

Thanks Selda!
Good approaches to use for success- managing, communicating and setting expectations.
Thank you!

These are great strategies, Naush! Learning to say no is so important.
