Life is a journey and a season at the same time. We will all have our moments, good and bad (cold and cold), but when you read something helpful like this, it stays with you. During such dark moments, you get to know where to begin
Thank you so much for sharing these helpful tips! I can relate to so many of those feelings you had. The main thing is to recognize when burnout is happening (if not before!) and to take a step back, like you did. Then we can start to look at ways to help ourselves. I found that talking about it was one of the most impactful things I did when I started to experience burnout.
Too often, we ignore the signs and just keep pushing through, but that’s no way to live. Thanks again for this. 😊
Really well written Nausherwan - and some really practical tips here. Glad you recovered from the burnout - I'll have to take some inspiration from you if it strikes me again!
Great post, Naush! You did so well by taking action and connecting to your emotions as soon as you felt overwhelmed.
Most of the time, we continue with our duties until they become too overwhelming for us to handle, leading to illness as our body and mind struggle to receive our attention.
Our health suffers when we ignore our inner voice, which urges us to pause and take a deep breath. After we recover, things will be waiting for us.
I believe that society's rhythm can also lead us off course, as everyone is so focused on productivity and efficiency that we often lose sight of our own rhythm.
The best way to regulate, aside from taking space and looking for support and silence, is to watch nature's natural rhythms and seasons.
Having a cat helps, as she sleeps and eats whenever she wants and that is always amusing for me and a great reminder to enjoy being.:))
