Amazing read and truly well expressed !!! Managing expectations of your boss and maintaining a healthy work life balance is extremely important. Though sometimes its so hard to implement it in toxic work environments, but definitely taking this positive message from my read today.
I love how you set boundaries when it comes to growth. I think that taking the wrong opportunity can feel like regression. Opportunities, just because they're new, are not all the same in terms of what you'll get out of it. Glad you realized that :)
It’s all so relatable, you’ve put all these thoughts and chugging all quite well. Sometimes it’s a sense of comfort, sometimes it’s lack of challenges or sometimes things come along that seems too good to be true but at the same time encompass a lot of red flags that you mentioned and so important to realize that which you also did. A lot of it, is also the process and the journey that you’ve undertaken, relationships that you’ve build that have a lasting impression and change the way you think about certain things. And the ultimate question or reflection that you also pointed out is: This is your journey and you have to take the driving seat. If you won’t someone else will and do you want someone else to do it… or do you want to take charge of these choices.
It’s a really good way to find a voice and reflect about these things along. Makes you think how much that we go through in life, and different choices we make can make paths totally different. Really nice read, looking forward to more of this and also happy to discuss more!
"The 18-19 year old Naush at LSE wanted security, certainty and quick success. He would’ve quivered if he had a hint of how precarious the years ahead were going to be." - I'm right there with you! But it's so much more exciting right?!
Great post - and thanks for sharing my writing with your readers too :)
If you haven't come across Maddie Burton on here I think you'll love her writing too
Life isn't a straight line, it's all we can do to make sure we're learning from our experiences and don't end up going round in circles! You're doing great, MA!

Thanks Jennifer :). Boundaries are very very important to set I think. Ultimately, we all have to decide for ourselves what we find important.
A meaningful, authentic squiggle ;-) Finding your voice and your way! Bravo.
Thank you Victoria :)!

Wow! Thank you so much Anzee! Completely overwhelmed by your message :).
The idea exactly is how you described it. I'm trying to find a voice and reflect on things. Glad you like it and again thanks a lot! You made my day.
Oh yes, we have been traveling very similar paths!
Haha...solidarity hug!

Thanks Zan! Haha yes... exciting but also stressful at times. I guess that's how life is.
I'll look up Maddie for sure.

Thanks Uzair bhai. Yeap...I guess the only way to go about is to be authentic and hope for the best. Much easier said than done of course.
