Great thoughts and advice Naushi! And it’s natural to express the uncertainties that are coming your way.
It is so important to take breaks especially during significant life changes. Expecting your first child is both an exciting and an anxious time. It is natural to feel overwhelmed. Taking time for yourself can help manage that anxiety and prevent catastrophizing. I would advice to remember, it’s okay to ask for help and support and lean on your support system, and it does work wonders.
Parenthood is definitely a journey filled with uncertainties but it is also incredibly rewarding. I remember feeling overwhelmed when I had my first but the moment you strike that balance that you’re not just a parent, you’re an individual too and strike that balance things fall into place. So the ideas of break, taking time off and ideas you’ve mentioned they should be continued in one form or another, and that’s where support system is important to provide that space and time. Carving out time for yourself is important for your well being. Stepping back and gaining perspectives can definitely make a huge difference. Things will fall into place. All the best for this journey and remember there are people around you, you can rely on for any support, help!
These are practical tips, I liked 1 and 4 the most as I also work 75% from home and need to reduce my digital time. Congrats on the baby, all the best to your family over the summer.
I'm glad you enjoy meditation and mindfulness! Just apply it regularly (it doesn't matter how long it takes), and you will see that it works, and you will have greater and greater clarity, peace and joy.

Thank you so much Anzee, for your encouragement and for sharing your experience as well.
You’re absolutely right. Having a support system is very important in general but its crucial when it comes to parenthood.
I guess I’ll be reaching out regularly when the baby arrives :p *fingers crossed.

I’m so proud of you! ♥️
Thanks wifey!
What great news about the baby!
While I don’t have children of my own, I remember my sisters about to become moms and the stress is absolutely normal 😃
And what a great idea about taking breaks and trying new things ✨⭐️I’ll try meditation 🧘🏻♀️ as I’ve never given it a chance.
Thanks a lot Vicky :). Do try it. Like I said, I was a bit skeptical as well but it helps!
Thank you for this weekend text!

Great advice - and I so remember that catastrophising before my daughter was born!
Thanks Lizzie! Yes...I feel stuck. Need to learn to take things as they come.
Thanks a lot Tinashe!
